It opens like an old violin case, exuding the scent of varnish, resin, and the precious essences of time. It's a tribute to the craftsmanship of instruments forged in the heart of 19th-century New England, nestled between mahogany and the stormy Massachusetts sky.
Created by David Seth Moltz, Bowmakers evokes the magic of the forests where the first American violins were crafted – it smells of varnish, pine resin, and freshly carved maple. It opens with an airy accord on the border between wilderness and civilization – fresh, cool, saturated with mahogany and a hint of varnish. The heart is dense, amber rosin and warm maple wood, wrapped in cypress. The base is moss, cedar, and spiced resins, reminiscent of dark, damp forest floor – mysterious and noble. Bowmakers is the scent of forest and craftsmanship – sensual, nostalgic, and hauntingly beautiful.
