Created by Bertrand Duchaufour, Timbuktu is inspired by the West African Wusulan body perfuming ritual, symbolizing the bond between the earth, soul and senses.
The composition opens with juicy mango and pink pepper, contrasting with the warmth of cardamom. The heart pulsates with the extraordinary karo karounde flower – aromatic, herbal-jasmine, full of African temperament. Olibanum and papyrus introduce incense smoke and dry vegetation, while a base of vetiver, patchouli, myrrh, and benzoin lends the composition depth, nobility, and a mysterious undertone.
It is a fragrance that combines spirituality with nature – sensual, wild and hypnotizingly beautiful.
